we told you earlier this week about concerns that the county was giving a sweetheart deal to a company in exchange for free concert tickets. gadi schwartz is live in the newsroomith tonights big story. sheriff dan houston says they served warrants today at the public information office he says they tried asking for documents yesterday, but says staff was acting evasive. so today deputies went back with the assistance of the secret service. they want to look at contracts and invoices dealing with special event overtime for deputies with companies like live nation -- which sells concert tickets. the county has come under fire for receiving tens of thousands of dollars of free concert tickets and perks from live nation. investigators are now looking at whether those perks could be tied in with what appears to be the special rate live nation was paying for deputy overtime at its concerts.. "it does appear that the billings to live nation was different and less than other people that were requesting the overtime of the sheriffs department that were paying for the same services." earlier this year, a county commissioner put a stop to the county receiving free tickets from live nation. sheriff houston says at this point, it's unclear what charges anyone who received the free tickets could face. about 5 minutes ago we received a statement from the county that said a search warrant was unessisary and they will cooperate with the investigation
