Parts of Navajo Nation get phone service for first time

it's something most of us take for granted...but today about fifteen hundred people on the navajo nation are celebrating. they finally having basic phone and high-speed internet service. navajo nation president ben shelly w at the nageezi chapter house today letting residents know about the new infrastructure built bsacred wind technology. one woman we spoke to says she is happy she won't have to walk a half a mile just to make a phone call. "i can just get up and call my daughters, tell them that i'm ok, and call friends and tell them come and pick me up for church and i don't have to walk to the chapter to make a phone call" officials with sacred wind communications say they are going door to door in the nageezi and huerfano chapters to let everyone know about the new system.
