A woman died in a crash involving a motorcycle and a semi truck Saturday that forced the closure of westbound Interstate 40 for hours. Police say the woman was riding the motorcycle around 1:30 p.m. when she lost control while merging onto westbound I-40 from I-25. The woman got caught under the semi truck's trailer. Investigators believe she was dragged for more than a mile. Police closed all westbound lanes of I-40 between the Big I and Coors Boulevard while they investigated the crash scene. Surface streets through Albuquerque were clogged Saturday afternoon for detoured traffic. The interstate reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
