officer is caught on camera... having sex in his uniform. the investigation continues into a new mexico state police officer caught on camera-- having sex on the hood of a car... while in uniform. sharon erickson has been in contact with state police today... she joins us in the newsroom with more on why the department is keeping pretty quiet right now. antoinette... they are... bu viewers are not. we have gotten lot of feedback from viewers on these pictures minute thumbnail 12:00 pm so far. right now, state police say they are investigating the officer in the photos ... and don't want to make any comment until that investigation is over. k-o-b has chosen not to show the photos on the air this afternoon because of their extremely graphic nature... but we can tell you security cameras at the santa fe canyon ranch caught an officer having sex. the county owns the property and had set up a camera to catch people spraying graffiti. the state police officer is seen-- with his gun and utility belt still on-- having sex with a woman on the hood of a dark- colored car-- in broad daylight. we reached out to the new mexico state police department again this morning to see if any action was being taken against the officer. their response? quote, "the personnel matter is ongoing... therefore the chief will not provide an interview or comment line at this time." we've received nearly 200 comments on our website... where we've posted a less- graphic version of the picture of the officer in the act. minute thumbnail 12:01 pm if you'd like to see what the surveillance video caught on tape... you can visit kob dot com. antoinette?? here's what a few of the viewers had to say about this story on our website... one person writes -- "this guy is clearly a hazard to the new mexico state police in terms of his lack of judgement, moral standards and integrity." another viewer wrote... this behavior is way below any standard for any police officer and the people of new mexico rightfully expect better from their state police."
