Sister in abuse case pleads guilty

a woman, accused of abusing her four children, pleaded guilty in district court today. frances pena will serve 5 years of supervised probation ... and will lose custody of her four children... who have been in state custody since her arrest in october of minute thumbnail 12:01 pm last year. pena, and her three siblings, were charged with child abuse after 17 children-- all believed to be off-spring of the siblings... were found living in deplorable conditions-- with little food and clothing. we learned today one sibling... nancy pena... has already pleaded guilty to the child abuse charges against her. if frances pena violates her probation ... she could face up to 12 years in state prison.
