out on the u-n-m campus-- despite all the recent attention from police ... police forced protesters with the group "occupy albuquerque" to leave yale park around 12-30 last night . and the university of new mexico says police did have the right to kick protesters off campus grounds. marissa torres is live on the u-n-m campus with our top story. marissa? antoinette- you can see- camp is back up. but last night about 2 dozen officers showed up with dogs and minute thumbnail 12:00 pm forced protesters to leave. it was peaceful. but in the end- just a lot of confusion. a u-n-m official says it all boils down to a permit. protesters filled out the wrong one. they need what's called an "outdoor" permit. that would allow them to set up camp during the day- but no matter what- they must leave at night. protestors say the university has been helpful- despite complaints from some students and the public. more homeless people are taking part in the protest. officials that raises safety concerns. "they are the 99 percent. You're the 99 percent, he's the 99 percent. They're trying to make a difference as well." no doubt about it- the protesters getting noticed. we're told their email list and social networking support sites have hit over a thousand people. protestors say everyone is welcome and they're doing their best to lead a peaceful minute thumbnail 12:01 pm protest. at last check- a permit had not been filed. so the university is letting the protest continue as the confusion gets sorted out. campus opens at 7 am and closes at 10 o'clock. so protestors must be gone by then. even if a permit has been filed- it will take at least a day to review. live on campus marissa torres kob eye witness news 4
