middle school and mary ann binford elementary -- are being kept indoors right now... as police search for a suspect in the area. danielle todesco is live near 86th and sage... danielle what can you tell us? antoinette... apd is holding a property crimes warrant roundup today ... now we're told they were setting up to surround a home... when their suspect 18-year- old joel villa bolted out the back door and took off running. apd lieutenant shawn o'connell says villa was wanted for aggravated residential minute thumbnail 08:57 am burglary... they say he stole a handgun out of someone's home. right now, we're told police have k-9's out in the area along with police in the air searching for villa. lieutenant o'connell says that this chase started about 45 minutes ago ...but he says they were following villa pretty close once he ran. a-p-s says students at truman middle school and mary ann binford elementary are being kept inside the school for now. here on silver spur, police have the street blocked...but are allowing some residents to be escorted to their homes. apd doesn't believe villa is armed ...but he is considered dangerous. live near 86th and sage, dt, kob eyewitness news 4.
