a new mexico lawmaker wants to eliminate the state's statute of limitations for second degree murder. minute thumbnail 06:02 pm the bill is inspired by an albuquerque case. last year.... ellen snyder pleaded guilty to killing her husband in 2002. snyder says she shot michael synder after she found out he was gay. but prosecutors were not able to file second degree murder charges because of the 6 year statute of limitations. ellen snyder was sentenced to 11 years for manslaughter and other charges.
