Israel strikes deals to bolster Fatah government

Israel agreed Sunday to release hundreds of prisoners and to stop hunting for scores of Fatah militants, gestures viewed as an attempt to help bolster the new government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.
