Panel rejects troops surge

Senate panel opposes Iraq troop increase. A day after President George W. Bush delivered his State of the Union Address, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is sending another message to the President..rejecting his plan to add more than 20,000 troops to Iraq on a bipartisan vote of 12 to 9.
