Half lion, half tiger - it's a liger

Visitors to a German zoo can visit a pair of rare animals who are half lion, half tiger -otherwise known as ligers. The 17-year old animals are the result of a love affair between a female tiger and a male lion who were kept in the same enclosure. The two ligers live in "Noah's Ark" zoo on Germany's Baltic coast. The zoo says the animals are so rare, that only two other ligers exist in the world. Joanna Partridge reports
