French Election Race Heats Up

It's been a tough week for France's Segolene Royal. The Socialist Party candidate for the April 22 presidential election is fighting to regain lost ground as her right-wing UMP rival Nicolas Sarkozy continues to make headway in the polls. Another far left candidate, iconic activist farmer Jos Bov , has also thrown his hat in the ring, threatening to strip votes from Royal.
