Tightrope walking in Dagestan

A Dagestan village famed for producing the Soviet Union's top tightrope walkers is reviving the centuries-old tradition. A small mountainous village in the tiny Russian republic of Dagestan is reviving an old tradition: tightrope walking has been associated with the village of Tsovkra-1 for centuries, and emerged as a technique for wooing women.
