Europe embraces smaller SUVs

But with smaller and medium-sized versions of the vehicles proving a hit with European drivers, these SUVs are likely to become a common sight in Europe. This is one of the fastest-growing car segments, and many car makers have brought their newest models, some boasting hybrid engines, to the Frankfurt International Autoshow. But environmental groups insist these gas-guzzlers are hardly a greener alternative than the larger SUVs.Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
