Japanese restaurant whale menu seeks to appeal to young Japanese. Japan, which says whaling is a cherished cultural tradition, from Tuesday will host a three-day meeting whose ultimate goal is the resumption of commercial whaling, banned in 1986 by the International Whaling Commission (IWC). But on the streets attempts are at hand to try to revive a dwindling interest in this culinary tradition.
