SA train crash kills farm workers
November 13, 2006
The accident happened during the morning rush hour at a railway crossing just outside Cape Town. Witnesses said a truck carrying more than 30 farm workers stalled on a level crossing. Most of those aboard the truck died at the scene; no one on the commuter train was killed. South Africa has set aside millions of dollars to upgrade its ageing rail infrastructure.
