The German government initially denied permission for filming to take place on Berlin military sites due to Cruise's involvement in Scientology, which the German government views as a cult. But the last surviving member of the group which attempted to assassinate Hitler says he is happy for Cruise to play the role. Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
