June 28, 2006
A recent survey conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of the American Council for Headache Education (ACHE) and Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, Inc., found people with migraine lose nearly six days over a three-month period as a result of migraine. Additionally, it found that nearly two thirds (62 percent) reported that migraine greatly affects their ability to participate in exercise or sports activities, while more than half said their social or recreational activities are limited. The survey also revealed that nearly 85 percent of people with migraine expressed concern that they will have to live with the condition for the rest of their lives.
