FDA APPROVES Exubera

Nearly 21 million Americans suffer from diabetes and the majority of those with type 2 diabetes have uncontrolled blood sugar levels. However, many people who need insulin, a proven effective treatment, have been fearful to inject it. Now, the Food and Drug Administration has approved the first inhaled and non-injectable insulin that could change the way people with diabetes are treated.
