South Korean street vendors rally

The clashes happened in the city of Goyang, an hour's drive northwest of the capital Seoul. It's illegal to sell goods on the street in South Korea and the authorities are cracking down on the activity which has sparked protests by thousands of South Korean street vendors. Emotions are running high after 46-year-old street vendor Lee Geun-jae committed suicide on October 11.
