No NASA shuttle launch in March
February 28, 2007
NASA will not be able to launch the next space shuttle mission in March as planned. The shuttle Atlantis sustained damage from a ferocious hail storm, the U.S. space agency said on Tuesday. Thunderstorms moved into the area around Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Monday afternoon. Mixed with the rain were chunks of ice that drilled into exposed parts of the spacecraft as it perched on its launch pad for the March 15 launch.
