Trabant still a moneyspinner at 50

The car was intended as a communist version of the Volkswagen Beetle, but was built on the cheap, had a top speed of around 100 kilometres per hour and was hardly altered before production halted in 1991. But since German reunification the Trabi, as it's affectionately known in Germany, has won over legions of new fans and there are many fan clubs devoted to the two-cylinder car.And a business which lets people drive a Trabi around Berlin or Dresden is still a hit with tourists and Germans alike.Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
