Tracking tree-trunk thieves in Cameroon

Exports of timber from Cameroon's vast tropical forests accounts for almost a fifth of the country's foreign exchange income, but this vital natural resource is threatened by corruption and illegal logging. Two years ago the government set up forestry inspection teams to ensure that only licensed firms exploit the jungle, protecting government revenue and limiting environmental damage to one of Africa's last untouched wildernesses. But with few resources, the teams have a tough job. An AFPTV voiced report.
