Dear Publisher,
In this issue, catch the buzz!
| That's Super! |
Can there be too many supers in one week? We're about to find out. First, there’s the Super Bowl on Sunday. Then, barely 48 hours later' we've got Super Tuesday to contend with. The juxtaposition of these two larger-than-life days leads to an obvious question: which Super is more, well, Super? Will football, big-budget ads and cheerleaders beat a big ol' Primary Election?
Of course they will.

Tips and Tricks: Engaging your audience, part II: It’s all about context |
Last w eek we showed you the importance of embedding the most compelling content on your site. Choosing interesting and germane content is only half the battle, though. To truly engage your audience, it’s often as much about where you put your content as it is about what content you choose. Make sure the stories you embed from the Voxant Newsroom are presented in a clear context. Using a single asset to accompany a blog post is great, and the more original content you can provide the better. Check out an example of this here at TattooTheBaby.com. Of course, embedding an entire feed relevant to your site topic works too – especially if it’s above the fold and well-integrated into your overall design, like our friends at YourMovieStuff.com. |

| Snappy and Clever Closing: The Super |
These are the kinds of weeks news junkies live for. Not only will the Giants shellac the Patriots on Sunday (you heard it here first, folks) but the end to this interminable presidential election season will finally be upon us (if we don’t have two nominees by Wednesday, I’m moving to Canada. That’s it.)
The first defeat of the 2007-08 Patriots and the end to the election? Now that’s what I call super.
Sincerely,
Evan McMorris-Santoro, Senior Editor |
