Good news -- Our payment policy has recently changed such that there is NO PAYMENT CAP for advertising impressions accumulated in a calendar month. Advertising revenue is only paid on fulfilled impressions. Please bear in mind that impression traffic generated in the U.S. is more likely to be monetized and earn revenue than impressions generated outside the U.S. due to our current advertising agreements.

TheNewsRoom Goes Video-Only
December 2008

In mid-December, TheNewsRoom switched to video only. This means that any text or image players on distributors’ sites must be switched out for video players. Any text or image players or feeds left on distributors’ site will show an error message urging the switch to video. We apologize for the inconvenience; but, we're confident that distributors will find fantastic videos among TheNewsRoom’s vast catalog to replace any text or images previously used. Advanced Options Now Available
October 2008

TheNewsRoom has revised its embed process. Now, distributors have access to the same great choices as before in the standard embed process – plus new features in Advanced Options. At the bottom left of the standard embed process window – shown after clicking the embed button – you’ll notice a link for “Advanced Options.� Advanced Options provides access to:

• Lots of player sizes and skins. By request, we’ve added the new 300x250 list-free player.
• Auto-play. Increase your impressions by having your video play automatically as soon as the visitor comes to the page.
• Auto-advance. Keep visitors engaged by automatically showing the next video in your feed. No pressing “playâ€� required.
