Sharif attends protest rally

Former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif leaves his house in Lahore to attend a rally. A spokesman for his party said Sharif was under house arrest to prevent him from taking part in a planned protest march. Pakistani officials denied that the leader of the opposition has been put under house arrest with one official saying he was under 'protective security' for three days. Sharif has called on his supporters to take to the streets.
