An estimated 10,000 people have died in Mexico in the last four years in drug-related violence, prompting fears that the country's cartel turf wars may spill over the border. The United States, the world's largest cocaine consumer, and Mexico are stepping up efforts to stem the cross-border flow of drugs and cash.
